STATEMENT OF NON-DISCRIMINATION Concordia Lutheran School
admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin, and
grants to them all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities
generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It
does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and
ethnic origin, or sex in the administration of its educational
policies, admission policies, and school-administered programs.
READINESS Students must be ready for the grade level at
which they are applying. Therefore, new student applicants will be
tested for readiness and achievement prior to admission. They and
their parents will also be required to attend an interview with the
principal. It is helpful for parents to bring copies of their
child’s previous report card(s) and test scores (if any) to this
interview.
KINDERGARTEN Students entering kindergarten must reach the
age of five years on or before December 2nd of the year in which
they are being enrolled.
IMMUNIZATIONS AND PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS Immunization and
physical examination records are required of students entering
grades one through six. Parents are responsible for submitting
accurate, current records. Although only immunization records are
required for students entering kindergarten, it is strongly
recommended that kindergarten applicants receive a complete physical
examination prior to enrollment.
ADMISSION PRIORITY Admission priority descends as follows:
(1) members of Concordia Lutheran Church; (2) re-enrollees with more
than one sibling currently enrolled; (3) re-enrollees with one
sibling currently enrolled; (4) new applicants.
PAPERWORK AND FEES Students will be admitted only after
all required paperwork has been submitted and the registration fee
has been paid in full. Students with unpaid balances from the
previous school year will not be admitted until their accounts have
been brought current.
DRESS CODE AND UNIFORM POLICY
We believe that a student’s appearance has an impact on his/her
attitude toward school and thus affects his/her behavior while at
school. Our dress code and uniform requirements help students show
respect for the entire school community by making the statement, “We
are here to learn.” The primary purpose of this policy is to foster
a campus environment wherein student attention is focused primarily
on the educational process and not on individual differences,
current clothing styles, and so forth.
Custom uniform shirts are required and are available in the
school office or may be ordered. Navy blue pants or shorts and blue
denim jeans or shorts may be worn by boys and girls along with plain
collared polo shirts in white, light blue, dark blue, or yellow.
Girls may also wear navy blue jumpers and skirts.
